Cleaning Process
Your Gown Cleaning will be determined by several factors:
- What fabric is your dress made of?
- What kind of cleaning does the care label indicate?
- How dirty is your dress? What kind of stains does it have (wine, dirt, make-up etc)?
- Does your dress have sequins and beading that require special care? Are they sewed on or glued on?
- Baci Wedding Gown Cleaning uses two types of cleaning, determined by the gown’s fabric and beading.
Dry Cleaning
Dry Cleaning is used on all natural fibres such as silk, but also rayon and some acetate. Virgin solvents are always used on our garments.
Wet Cleaning
Is used on all synthetic fabrics. It is a more gentle form of cleaning and will protect your crystals and beadwork from the heat and chemicals of dry cleaning. All gowns are hand cleaned.
Wet Cleaning has several advantages:
- It is the best cleaner for sugar spills, food stains, and dirty hems.
- Wet cleaning leaves no chemicals in the gown.
- No heat is used on the gown or beadwork.
- Delicate beadwork is protected from harsh chemicals.
Guarantee
We guarantee to clean your wedding gown to the best of our ability, employing the most suitable and safest procedures, without causing damage to the fabric, stitching or beadwork. In some cases, a stain will be unable to be removed without causing disintegration of the fabric – therefore the safekeeping of the fabric will always come before removing the stain.
Your gown is protected with a 30 day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the cleaning and preservation of your gown, you may have your garment re-cleaned.
